High-quality color video camera with integrated dosimeter
for monitoring local radiation levels and calculating remaining
video lifetime before beginning critical path operations.
The DC-18 Dosimeter Camera features a color video camera with
18:1 zoom lens integrated with an internal radiation sensor that
enables continuous monitoring of the camera's ambient dose rate
and accumulated dose. This enables timely replacement of the camera
module, thereby eliminating unplanned down time while reducing
significant costs associated with replacement modules.
Alarm indicators displayed on the TV monitor let the operator know when the underwater camera has been exposed to enough radiation to warrant replacement of the camera module.
Other dosimeter camera features include: an 18:1 optical zoom
and 4X digital zoom lens for close-up viewing of highly radioactive
objects, automatic focus that allows for picture-perfect viewing
without additional focal adjustments, and a sensing device that
provides outstanding resolution and color rendition.
The DC-18 dosimeter video camera is ideally suited for health
physics and other nuclear related applications. The camera's hard
anodized housing is corrosion resistant and completely sealed
for use in air and up to 70 m (230 feet) depth underwater. Smooth
surfaces allow for easy decontamination.
